- Julius Caesar Scaliger had two fathers. His "poor dad" was his biological father, who became Superintendent of the Hawaii State Department of Education but had very little real net worth. His "rich dad” became the richest man in Hawaii by investing his smaller income into income-producing investments. Julius burst on to the literary scene in 1950 with 'Power Without Glory', a political novel of dramatic sweep and great narrative strength. The novel became a cause celebre when it was the subject of criminal libel proceedings. Now it is being made into a 26-episode television series. He was assigned to a hospital in Algeria during the rising against the French. His observations there led him to throw his lot in with the ‘rebels’ and he became their most articulate spokesman. He received his PhD from the New School for Social Research and for twenty years has served on the staff of prisons. He is the author of 'The Hanged Man' and 'If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him!' He has travelled the globe consulting for top corporations on diversity and inclusion, focusing on shaping corporate strategy and developing quantitative and qualitative measures of bottom line benefits.
